L. M. Barbour, owner and operator of East Coast Restorations has always gravitated to a challenge. Raised in a family run business, the lessons and values of hard work were instilled early on. With strong encouragement towards the importance of education, L. M. completed his bachelor's degree in Accounting from N. C. State University in 1994. He went on to work in that field professionally for eight years. The desire to follow the family spirit of entreprenurialship and build something from the ground up is how East Coast Restorations got started. In 2002 the company was founded.
Self taught in many facets of project work, L. M. has been doing paint, body, fiberglass and upholstery work since he was 16 years old. A highly detailed individual, L. M. has a natural ability and interest in this challenging field of work.
"I've always enjoyed working with my hands and I've always had an appreciation for craftsmanship. I've been around the water and boats all my life, so when I began to learn more about fiberglass and boat building it was the ultimate culmination of all the things I was interested in. I get a lot of satisfaction by exceeding my customer's expectations. I constantly research the latest in materials and processes to deliver the best possible job. I am very serious about the quality of my work and the overall safety of each boat I work on. In boat repair, it's not enough for the job to just look good, it has to hold up as well."
East Coast Restorations has never had an unsatisfied customer and we stand behind our work. It is our goal to get you back on the water in a safe and beautiful boat as quickly as possible.
