10/9/08 - O.K. here goes my version of a blog. Just finishing up some updates to the web site. Nothing fancy here, I know - but it's what I can afford and I'm having fun. Anyway, improvements and additions are coming. That will include previously completed projects in the Featured Work album and periodic updates in the Current Projects album. I'm just getting started on a 1968 Boston Whaler 17, so stay posted for progress updates. Tips, how-to and maybe even video segments down the road. Also, some good links to help network my customers on boat and fishing related stuff. Also planned, is an e-store featuring electronics, accessories, and boat repair products.
I welcome suggestions and I'll tolerate complaints. Until I can get a forum, chat or feedback deal set-up, just send me an e-mail. It's getting late so I'll bring more later. Thanks for your interest. - L. M.
11/3/08 - Making a little progress on the Whaler 17. Finished up some keel repairs and trailer mods on a 26' Edgewater. Took a little time out Sunday to run my boat for the second time with the new (used) engine. Boat ran great, fished a little for fun - no luck though. Cruized the water front and stopped for fudge in Beaufort. An absoulutely beautiful day on the Crystal Coast.
Docked on the Beaufort water front.
1/23/2009 - Finally, I've been trying to get around to an update for several weeks. I've been on a few decent fishing trips. A family trip to Disney World and Sea World over Thanksgiving, then Christmas and New Years. Between the planned activities and foul weather it's been hard to get much work done. Look for more regular updates, as the little whaler project will start taking shape and I have some interesting new work coming in. I always get excited at the prospects of a new year and I wish all my customers and friends the very best in 2009. I'll leave you with a couple of on the water shots.
A little false albacore made for some fun action.
Life long friend, Will McKenzie at the helm.
A beautiful sunset made for a nice trip in.
4/15/09 - Its been a while since an update. Sorry, I really have been busy. The 68 Whaler was finished up a couple of weeks ago. Been busy in the shop. Plenty of work to do and more coming in. I'll keep a few pics coming. A few interesting jobs are coming in and the possibility of a major project that many will find interesting.
